Enrollment
Patterson Park Public Charter School is open to all children residing in Baltimore City on a space available basis within each grade level. Our school does not discriminate on the basis of intellectual or athletic ability, measures of achievement or aptitude, disability, proficiency in English or any other basis prohibited by law. We follow all enrollment policies of the Baltimore City Public Schools as they apply to non-zoned charter schools.
There are no formal admissions requirements, but we expect enrolling families to be familiar with and support the mission and vision of the school. In addition to understanding the PPPCS curriculum and educational program, we expect all incoming families to abide by our uniform and volunteer policies.
If the number of applicants exceeds the capacity of the school at any grade level, enrollment will be determined by a public random lottery for that grade level.
For enrollment information, e-mail enrollment@pppcs.org or call 410-558-1230 x396. You can get an application for enrollment at the school’s main office or download it below. Please return your application by mailing it to Enrollment, 27 N. Lakewood, Baltimore, MD, 21224 or emailing it to enrollment@pppcs.org.

Admission Practices
Historically, PPPCS gets many more applications for enrollment than it can accept. For Fall 2011, we received over 100 pre-K applications, over 150 kindergarten applications and 150 applications for other grades.
Every fall, PPPCS establishes guidelines for accepting applicants and we expect that the guidelines for Fall 2012 to be similar to 2011. That is, PPPCS will accept 85-90 students for kindergarten and a limited number for higher grades. Pre-K will accept 20 students for Fall, 2011, but may expand to two classes of 20 for Fall, 2012.
We encourage all who are interested to apply by the lottery deadline.
