PPPCS Listserve

Join the PPPCS listserve and become a part of the online PPPCS community. Follow the link below to sign up. When submitting a subscription request, it will be helpful if you could let the us know if you are a parent, staff member or your overall connection to the school or it's community. A subscription request will be sent to the list administrator who will then approve the request. The PPPCS list serve is for PPPCS families, staff and members of the communities surrounding the school. Please review the listserve rules below.

Rules for Using the Patterson Park Public Charter School Listserve

PLEASE READ THE RULES

If you have questions, please contact the moderators at this address: Remember, the moderators are volunteers, so please be patient.

1. Acceptable posts to the listserve include:

• Issues, events, and topics specifically related to Patterson Park Public Charter School. Examples: Meetings, days off, testing days, events, fundraisers, committee information, etc.
• Community Events and Information from local community partners concerning events, opportunities, programs, etc.
• Requests for information on a Patterson Park Public Charter School related topic. Examples: Committee seeking expertise, items for a project/event, research, etc. 

2. Post that are not acceptable include.

• Messages with commercial, religious or political content may not be posted; this includes "signature" files, businesses, promotions offering free gifts or services, etc.
• Messages containing profanity or comments that are discriminatory in nature.
• Messages that are sent to financially benefit the sender or another private entity.

3. Be considerate of fellow listserve users.
The purpose of the Listserve is to promote the exchange of information on issues directly related to Patterson Park Public Charter School and to share community opportunities of interest to the members of the school community. 

Please be thoughtful and use common sense. For example, here are a few important DOs and DON'Ts:

• DO send questions or comments about postings and rules only to the moderators, not to the entire group.
• DO pass along information on educational, recreational, or community opportunities for members the Listserve.
• DON'T use "reply all" to respond to an individual post
• DON'T include an entire digest with your post
• DON'T type in ALL CAPS; use lower case
• DON'T contact another member about an inappropriate post -- contact the moderators at this address: PPPCS-owner @yahoogroups.com

Tips to help you deal with the large number of messages:

• Configure your email program to automatically file mail with the keyword [pppcs] in a separate folder so your inbox isn't flooded.
• Go to the group homepage, click on "Edit My Membership" (at the far right), and set your account to "Daily digest". Yahoo will group about 25 messages and send them all in one email. (If you do this, remember that when replying to one of the messages in the Digest you must change the address on the "To" line from the group address to the address of the person you are writing to.
• Read messages at the website instead of downloading them to your computer. To do this, go to the group homepage, click on "Edit My Membership" (at the far right), and set your account to "Special Notices." The only emails you will receive are any important notices sent by the moderators.
