Our Goals

While PPPCS has achieved a great deal in its first six years—from establishing the school in the first place, growing from 325 students in grades K-4 to 600 students in preK-8, becoming a school where neighborhood parents are proud to send their children, developing its own project-based curriculum, to finally securing over $13,000,000 to purchase its campus and build a state of the art middle school building—we also look toward the future.

The school’s Board of Directors recently adopted a five year Strategic Plan to guide its efforts for the next five years.  There are seven major Goals in three areas of strategic importance: Academic, Community and Organizational.

Academic Goals

PPPCS commits to not just exceeding state standards, but to promote the well-being and personal growth of every student:

  • School graduates well-educated, well-rounded students who excel in critical thinking.
  • School consistently exceeds State academic standards, while upholding its charter to nurture the whole child.
  • Students consistently exhibit strong, individual academic growth.

Community Goals

In a rare commitment of school to community, PPPCS recognizes its role as a community resource as well as the value that community provides to the well-being of students and their families:

  • School has a visible role and a strong reputation as a force for good and a community pillar.
  • School taps into community and city resources that lead to student success, strong families and healthy communities.

Organizational Goals

PPPCS recognizes that the school will only be as good as the organizations that support it and it will only be a great school if it is financially sound:

  • School entities – Board, ACT, and HOPPP - are strong and collaborate to support academic and non-academic goals of the school.
  • School-based organizations collaborate to define and meet aggressive annual fundraising targets.
